<p><a title="Josh Ulm" href="http://ioresearch.com/?page_id=2" target="_blank">Josh Ulm</a> shares on his site a project called <a title="IOResearch Nova" href="http://ioresearch.com/?p=72" target="_blank">Nova</a>. Josh explains Nova as:</p>
<blockquote><p>It prioritizes use cases which enable users to create, share and save powerful, personal content by connecting them instantly to the stuff they do most and the people they care about and providing exciting, extensible network content and services across devices.</p></blockquote>
<p>You can see that the design also maps to several services provided by Adobe, like Photoshop Express and Adobe Media Player. I&#8217;m sure a lot of people wished the home screen of their mobile device could look like this.</p>

As mentioned in previous posts, Nokia has a large investment in continued R&amp;D in the devices they produce.</p>
<p>Another example of Nokia R&amp;D is the <a title="Nokia Morph" href="http://www.nokia.com/about-nokia/research/demos/the-morph-concept" target="_blank">Morph device</a>. Concepts like flexible material, advanced sensory inputs and self-powering are explored in this device. As explained by Nokia:</p>
<blockquote><p>the Morph concept device is a bridge between highly advanced technologies and their potential benefits to end-users. This device concept showcases some revolutionary leaps being explored</p></blockquote>
<p>Below is the video produced to explain the Morph concept. You can learn more on the <a title="Nokia Morph" href="http://www.nokia.com/about-nokia/research/demos/the-morph-concept" target="_blank">Nokia Research website</a>.</p>

<p>Neue Digitale / Razorfish worked together to created a multi-touch, realtime Audi car configurator. A description from the original blog post states:</p>
<blockquote><p>To control the actual car configuration process users can place multilingual tokens on the table. All available options appear around the token and can be selected by touching or rotating the physical token.</p></blockquote>
<p>The ability to bring other objects into the environment and have them interact with what&#8217;s on the screen is another way the line becomes blurred between the physical and digital space.</p>
<div style="padding:10px; text-align:center;"><object width="520" height="300"><param name="allowfullscreen" value="true" /><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always" /><param name="movie" value="http://vimeo.com/moogaloop.swf?clip_id=6796111&amp;server=vimeo.com&amp;show_title=1&amp;show_byline=1&amp;show_portrait=0&amp;color=&amp;fullscreen=1" /><embed src="http://vimeo.com/moogaloop.swf?clip_id=6796111&amp;server=vimeo.com&amp;show_title=1&amp;show_byline=1&amp;show_portrait=0&amp;color=&amp;fullscreen=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowscriptaccess="always" width="520" height="300"></embed></object></div>
